About Me
My name is Scott Simpson and I was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1971 to a Scottish immigrant family. I left there when I was three and grew up near Kelowna, BC with my parents, four older brothers, one Uncle and an unseemly variety of dogs.
My formal theological education includes a Diploma of Theology from Edinburgh, Scotland; a Certificate in Ministry from Carey Theological College in Vancouver; and a Master of Christian Studies in Spiritual Theology from Regent College.
Interwoven with these studies in the last twenty years has been training and working as a framing carpenter, serving as a Youth Pastor, Associate Pastor and Church Planter, oversees mission work and a couple of years at the Home Depot. I wed my lovely wife Christine at White Rock Baptist Church in 1994 and am blessed to be the father of two beautiful girls.
I am currently the Pastor of First Baptist Church in Nelson, BC.
